Improving Cross-Border ACH Payments

Nacha’s recently released Risk Management Framework report identifies the opportunity for cooperation and information sharing between financial institutions to successfully fight credit push payments fraud.  The International ACH Remittance API Standard (IAR) developed by Afinis, a Nacha operated organization, provides financial institutions that send or receive IAT ACH transactions with a real time method to send and verify ISO20022 international ACH remittance data to help mitigate fraud, avoid suspended payments and reduce cross-border ACH returns. Financial institutions can choose an IAR implementation option to support financial institution partnerships.

Speakers on this webinar will discuss the identified gaps for cross-border ACH payment remittance, the ISO 20022 Underlying Customer Credit Transfer element used as the basis of the API, the development of the International ACH Remittance API standard, and the opportunities for implementation of the new API.

Speaker(s):
Amy Morris, Senior Director, ACH Network Rules, Nacha
David Chance, Independent Consultant
George Throckmorton, Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives & Network Development, Nacha
