Conversations about payments don’t always make clear whether the focus is on the clearing or the settlement of a transaction. In this session, panelists will clear up confusion, describe how different networks transfer both information and value, and settle the matter of what constitutes clearing and settlement. The session will provide a foundational understanding of these core concepts for anyone new to payments and offer a good refresher for payments veterans.
